Richard helps his clients navigate complex planning issues related to income, gift and estate taxation, as well as charitable giving and business succession.
In the area of art law, Richard advises collectors and their other advisors regarding authentication, provenance, collection management, tax matters, disposition, charitable arrangements, museum options, and family gifting. As collector’s counsel, his focus is on enhancing the value of a collection by positioning exhibitions and working with dealers, auction houses, family foundations, and museums.
