HMB is excited to welcome Michael, Clara, Isabella and Marla into its 2023 Law Clerk Program! We also warmly welcome back Olivia, who joined the program in 2022.
HMB’s Law Clerk Program offers motivated professionals the opportunity to solve interesting problems and make a meaningful impact for clients and colleagues. The program allows law clerks to collaborate closely with associates and senior partners across all practice groups while gaining a deeper understanding of areas they are interested in. Numerous HMB attorneys, including partners, have launched their careers through this program. HMB accepts top-performing law students with at least one year in law school.
Olivia Palmer
Olivia returns for her second year in HMB’s Law Clerk Program. She is enrolled at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree in Media and Marketing from Indiana University. She is interested in HMB’s Business and Finance Group’s Corporate and Transactional practice. She is a member of Loyola’s Business Law Society, Women’s Law Society and OUTlaw Society and serves as the Executive Editor of Loyola's Consumer Law Review.
Michael Parsky
Michael is enrolled at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he is a Student Articles Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. He earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and is interested in HMB’s Business & Finance, State & Local Tax and Litigation groups. Previously, Michael worked as a law clerk for McVey & Parsky, LLC, and interned at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
Clara Rhodehamel
Clara is enrolled at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University. She is interested in HMB’s Business & Finance and Real Estate groups. Clara serves as President of Loyola’s Women’s Law Society, is a Staff Editor for the Consumer Law Review and is a member of the Business Law Society. She previously worked as a legal intern at Ulta Beauty and a law clerk at Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Isabella Sparacino
Isabella is enrolled at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree in International Affairs and Political Science from Marquette University. She is interested in HMB’s Business & Finance and Litigation groups. At Loyola, Isabella serves as the Class Representative for the Business Law Society and the Director of Programming for the Women’s Law Society. She is also a Loyola Business Law Clinic clinician and a 1L Property Law tutor. Isabella previously worked as a law clerk for Dussias Wittenberg Koenigsberger LLP.
Marla Zepeda
Marla is enrolled at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. She is interested in HMB’s Business & Finance and State & Local Tax groups. Marla serves as the Vice President of Loyola’s Latino Law Students and is an Associate Editor for the International Law Review. She is also a First Generation Law Students Association and Business Law Society member. Previously, Marla worked as a summer associate for Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila. She also worked as a paralegal for Levin & Perconti and as a legal assistant for Zinda Law Group.
