CHICAGO, IL - HMB Legal Counsel, a preeminent provider of legal services in business and finance, litigation, trusts and estates, real estate, state and local taxes and bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors' rights announced that attorney Nathan E. Delman joined the firm as an associate in its growing bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors' rights practice.
Nate has over ten years’ experience as a bankruptcy and insolvency lawyer. In addition to his work as an advocate, he is known for his frequent public speaking and writing on bankruptcy issues. Recently, Nate successfully represented certain consumer debtors against the City of Chicago on its vehicle impoundment policy before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, helping to secure a victory that preserves essential rights of debtors. In January 2019, Nate was appointed to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Rules Advisory Committee for the Northern District of Illinois by order of Chief Judge Pamela Hollis.

Prior to joining HMB, Nate practiced bankruptcy at the Semrad Law Firm, LLC for over 6 years. Nate earned a J.D. from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2008. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
