Jordan will zero in on the nexus, sourcing and tax base issues specifically associated with financial institutions and their affiliate businesses.
After attending, the attendee will be able to:
- Explain nexus rules as they apply to Financial Institutions
- Determine sourcing of interest and other income from intangibles is subject to the same sourcing rules as other business
- Recognize combination/unitary rules work for a group comprised of financial institutions and other types of business
- Decide whether financial institutions have non-business/allocable income
- Determine if repossessed property create a new set of issues
