CHICAGO, IL (May 7, 2018) - The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Zero Energy Systems, LLC selected Horwood Marcus & Berk Chartered (""HMB"") as its legal counsel, with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa approving HMB's retention on May 2, 2018. Zero Energy Systems (the ""Debtor"") is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of proprietary insulated concrete wall systems for residential, commercial and industrial construction. The Debtor manufactures and markets a range of high quality wall systems from a state-of-the-art computer-automated production facility that opened in 2014, located in Coralville, Iowa. As of the petition date, the Debtor scheduled assets in excess of $14 million and liabilities in excess of $28 million. The Debtor employs approximately 60 people and, in 2017, had gross annual revenues of over $4.7 million. The Committee will work closely with its professionals to drive a process that creates the most value for the Debtor's creditors.
