Brett M. Winterstein. Brett is a member of HMB's Business and Finance Group and serves as outside "general counsel" to middle-market businesses throughout the United States. He concentrates his practice primarily in counseling clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, federal and state securities matters, debt and equity offerings, venture capital and private equity matters, commercial financings (both borrower and lender representation) and day-to-day general business matters. Brett's clients include, among others, onshore and offshore manufacturers, food and beverage distributors, commercial banks, private equity groups, technology start-ups and investment advisors. Brett serves on the board of directors for Jewish Council for Youth Services, a not-for-profit organization offering educational, recreational and leadership experiences at its family centers, multiple summer camps and specialty programs. Brett earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2009.
Richard Z. Wolf. Rich is a member of HMB'S Litigation Group and is a commercial litigator who represents businesses, business owners and professionals in state and federal courts, arbitrations and mediations in Illinois and other states. Rich advises clients in connection with complex commercial matters across a wide range of industries. Rich regularly counsels clients on critical business issues, including real estate matters; employment disputes regarding restrictive covenants, trade secrets and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act; ownership disputes related to the management and control of closely-held companies and breach of contract and related claims arising out of mergers and acquisitions and other contractual relationships. Rich earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2009.
