Mark-It Express Logistics LLC ("Mark-It"), a leading Midwest intermodal trucking and freight brokerage company, acquired Sava Transportation ("Sava"), a Maywood, Illinois-based intermodal freight hauling company. HMB represented Mark-It in the acquisition.

“[This] acquisition allows us to offer more flexible and robust solutions to our customers. It also brings us continued diversification of our customer base, increased market share and the potential for more growth,” Tony Apa, president and founder of Mark-It said.
Sava’s employees will transition into existing Mark-It terminals in Lemont, Illinois and Chicago. In January, Mark-It announced the acquisition of Spirit Trucking Company in Chicago. Spirit added 78 trucks to Mark-It’s fleet, which at the time was approximately 100 trucks.
“Even in these uncertain times, we are focused on our plans and goals previously set out and will continue to grow both organically and through future acquisitions,” Apa said.
