HMB is proud to sponsor and participate in the 2023 State and Local Tax Symposium: “Projecting the Future of SALT,” sponsored by The Tax Lawyer and the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law Tax Program.
The Symposium will have seven SALT professors and various practitioners participate in 30-minute panel discussions concerning each professor’s upcoming article for publication in The Tax Lawyer.
David A. Hughes will join a panel with Prof. Hayes Holderness of the University of Richmond School of Law and Aaishah Hashmi of the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue to discuss, “Self-Policing Through Retaliatory Taxation.” He will also moderate a breakout session later in the day discussing the instruction of SALT in law school J.D. and L.L.M. curricula, with the goal of promoting SALT teaching, programming and career building at educational institutions.
