HMB’s Board Officers represent the interests of the firm and are elected by their peers to serve a staggered three-year term. HMB’s Board of Directors is responsible for governance, oversight and decision-making.
We are pleased to welcome Jordan M. Goodman and Brian H. Axelrad as they begin their terms. We also thank Sean D. Auton and David A. Hughes for their leadership as they conclude their terms.
Brian H. Axelrad is a partner in HMB’s Business and Finance Group and a leader in the firm’s Venture Capital and Technology practices. He serves his clients as day-to-day general counsel and regularly advises companies, investors, acquirers and executives on strategic and milestone transactions, often including venture capital and private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Brian has a reputation for pragmatic, solution-oriented outcomes, efficient and effective problem solving and technical proficiency.
Jordan M. Goodman is a partner in HMB’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Group. He focuses his practice on resolving complex SALT controversies for Fortune 1,000 companies and wealthy families nationwide. As perhaps one of the most recognizable people in the SALT community, Jordan is known for his enthusiasm, creativity and practical approach to limiting tax exposure and helping clients through the tax ramifications and benefits of various organizational structures.
Jeffrey A. Hechtman is a partner in HMB’s Business and Finance Group. He helps leaders of privately-held companies and their investors make and implement smart business decisions about deals, disputes and the every-day challenges of growing and operating successful businesses. Jeff devotes his time to learning about his clients’ operations to provide them with practical, forward-thinking and big picture advice.
Timothy S. Rybicki is a partner in HMB’s Real Estate Group. He focuses his practice on buying, selling, leasing and financing commercial real estate. Tim understands every transaction is unique and focuses on the details and timelines to anticipate problems, avoid unwanted risk and ensure deal are not unnecessarily complicated.
Jeffrey A. Zaluda is a partner in HMB’s Private Client, Trusts and Estates Group. He focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, fiduciary counsel and litigation, business planning, asset protection planning, and philanthropic planning and deployment of capital for social impact. Jeff prides himself on his prompt communication and has built his practice by creating long-term relationships with clients who value his accessibility and ability to bring creative, practical and empathetic solutions to their unique matters.
