Christin A. Handa
Christin is a member of HMB's Trusts and Estates Group. She concentrates her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration. Prior to joining HMB, Christin practiced family law and represented clients in divorce and custody proceedings. Christin's experience in family law complements her practice in estate planning, particularly with respect to the negotiating and drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Christin is a Volunteer Attorney for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) an organization with a mission to coordinate, support and promote the voluntary pro bono legal representation of the Chicago area's poor and working poor. She is also an Associate Board Member of Sarah's Inn, an organization that provides comprehensive services for families affected by domestic violence so that they get the support they need to find safety, rebuild their lives and heal. Christin earned her J.D from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Renee A. Rossi
Renee is a member of HMB's Business and Finance Group. She focuses her practice on general corporate work, private placement offerings, venture capital, securities law matters and mergers and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining HMB, Renee advised operating businesses and family offices regarding capital structure and transactional legal issues, including venture capital investments, private equity transactions, debt offerings, joint ventures, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions and SEC compliance matters. Renee is a Volunteer Attorney for CARPLS Legal Aid, a Chicago-area legal aid service that offers legal assistance to low-income residents of Cook County and is a tutor with Chicago Lights Tutoring. Renee earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Christopher T. Lutz
Chris is a member of HMB's State and Local Tax Group. He concentrates his practice on litigating state and local tax controversies for multi-state businesses, regularly representing his clients at all levels of state courts and administrative tribunals across the country. He also advises businesses on a range of issues, including income tax, local taxes, sales and use taxes and taxes relating to financial institutions, insurance, telecommunications and energy companies. Chris is a frequent speaker before the Council on State Taxation (COST), Georgetown University Institute on State and Local Taxation, The Paul J. Hartman State Tax Forum, Tax Executives Institute and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). He has published articles in State Tax Notes, Law 360, Bloomberg BNA, National Litigation Consultants' Review and the Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives. Chris currently serves on the committee for IPT's Annual Conference Income Tax Section. Chris earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
