Jennifer is a member of HMB’s Private Client, Trusts and Estates group. She focuses her practice on estate planning, probate litigation and general business matters.

As an experienced trial attorney, Jennifer helps beneficiaries understand and enforce their rights in contested probate cases. Prior to joining HMB, Jennifer was an Assistant Public Defender in Philadelphia serving in the Major Trials Unit where she handled hundreds of hearings and tried over 55 misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict.
While in law school, Jennifer was the President of the Black Law Students Association where she received the Midwest BLSA Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service. She also won a Regional championship as a participant for the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Team and earned a Trial Advocacy Certificate in trial and appellate advocacy as well as dispute resolution.

Working as an Assistant Public Defender, Jennifer worked with individuals who were often treated as “a number in the system.” Clients appreciate this background and the genuine care and empathy that Jennifer has for their needs. They rely on her attention to detail and ability to break complex legal needs into relatable advice.
